BCSS Summer Feeding Program

The Butler County Child Nutrition Program is participating in the Summer Food Service Program. Meals will be provided to all children without charge, ages 0-18 years. Acceptance and participation requirements for the program and all SFSP activities are the same for all regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age, or disability, and there will be no discrimination in the course of the meal service. Meals may be picked up and taken off site this year,(Non-Congregated). Meals will be provided at all the following sites starting June 3, 2024 until July 18, 2024:

Greenville High School, Greenville Middle School, W O Parmer, Georgiana School and McKenzie School (11:00 to 12:30)

Dunbar Park (11:30 am to 12:30 pm)

Mt. Zion Baptist Church (12:00 pm to 12:30 pm)

Butler Chapel Church (11:15 am to 12:15pm)

First Baptist Church  (11:30 to 12:30pm)

Fair View Apartment (11:30am to 12:30pm)

Save-A-Child Center (11:00 am to 12:00pm)

96% of Butler County School System's 3rd graders scored at or above grade level on the ACAP Reading Sub-Test. According to the Literacy Act, the 3rd grade ACAP Reading Sub-Test Score is one of the pathways to 3rd grade promotion. The scores were released to system administrators this morning to help schools provide specific interventions to students with reading gaps during the summer Literacy Camps and other programs that begin on June 3rd.
