Carpool Procedures Reminders - Students will be tardy at 7:45 am
Carpool Procedures / Tardy at 7:45
Reminders:
Students will be tardy if they are not in the building before 7:45. Pulling up in the car at 7:45 is tardy. Students have morning work every day and arriving late means they start the day behind.
Drop off begins at 7:10 every morning. We usually load 4 rows of 7 during each set. Once all four rows are full, we blow the whistle to unload, and all children must make it to the building before cars are dismissed.
At 7:45, we place a sign out indicating tardiness. If students arrive after 7:45, parents MUST park their cars and walk inside to sign students in. WOP students MUST be signed in at W.O. Parmer. They will not be allowed to be dropped off at GES after 7:45.
The drop off/carpool route begins on the little service road behind the football field. No exceptions.
CARPOOL/DROP OFF EXPECTATIONS
1. Get off the cell phone. Safety is our utmost priority.
2. Pull up and put car in "park."
3. Please have students ready--not brushing hair, eating chips, finding snack money. All these things delay drop off.
4. When the whistle blows, students should unload quickly and walk straight down to the end of the lane. Please tell your child NOT TO CUT THROUGH CARS. It is not safe! They are to follow the red paw prints to the end.
5. Running late does not excuse one from following the procedures. They are in place to keep students, faculty, and others safe.
G.A.T.E. Students
GATE students explored engineering and design practices with a visit from the McWane Center. Students experienced navigating the entertainment side of engineering by participating in Gaming Truck activities.
Morning Drop-Off Traffic Route
All W. O. Parmer Elementary School and Greenville Elementary School students transported by personal vehicles will be dropped off in the Greenville Elementary School parking lot this school year. Parents should use the access road behind Tiger Stadium to enter Greenville Elementary School's dropoff zone. Greenville Middle School's dropoff will remain the same.
Supply Lists
For the 2023-2024 school year, Greenville Elementary will not send a supply list out to parents. The school will be able to provide the materials the students will need in their classrooms. However, we do ask that you provide a book bag and also help us with our wish list items. If you have any questions, please call the school at 382-7614.
